Labor Community Foundation (LCF) was created by Labor Credit Union to expand the access of resources that are necessary to improve the financial well-being of all. Labor Credit Union’s mission is to improve the financial well-being for all those who desire it, not just for those individuals who are members of the credit union.
However, Labor Credit Union, as a member-owned cooperative with regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities to guard the interests of its member owners, is limited in its ability to serve a broader cause or group of individuals.
To enable Labor Credit Union to help a broader group, the credit union established the LCF as a charitable foundation, which will raise funds through a variety of activities and channels, and then use those funds to empower individuals throughout our communities. LCF will use the funds raised to provide resources and create opportunities for individuals to further their education, attain skills to reach their career aspirations, and to gain access to networks and resources that will expand their financially literacy and promote financial well-being.
The contributions raised will support causes that are important to the communities that Labor Credit Union serves.
